The Problem
"Teenagers need more independence and more privacy, and they still need their parents. Exams, matches, friendships, phones and plans for the future bring real pressure. This course helps you stay close through it: less directing and more listening, less doing for them and more standing beside them."

Common questions

FAQ

What ages is it for?
Young people aged about 11 to 18. Every tool shows the ages it suits best. For younger children, see Parent Well: The Growing Years.
Will my teenager have to do the tools?
No. Many tools are things a teenager can do for themselves, and the course's spirit is to invite, never impose. Offer one, do it alongside them, or do your own version. A teenager can keep their answers private in a workbook on their own device.
Where do I start?
With Knowing Your Teenager and Staying Connected. Then work through the modules in order, or follow a pathway such as Pressure and Exams or The Early Teens.
